Baharat is a warm, aromatic spice blend commonly used in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cooking. It's perfect for seasoning meats, vegetables, rice dishes, and soups, adding depth and complexity with every pinch.

Baharat Spice Blend

Ingredients:
1 teaspoon (about 2 grams) black peppercorn
1 teaspoon (about 2 grams) coriander seeds
1 small cinnamon stick (about 3–4 cm in length)
1/2 teaspoon (about 1 gram) whole cloves
1/2 teaspoon (about 1 gram) allspice berries
2 teaspoons (about 4 grams) cumin seeds
1 teaspoon (about 2 grams) cardamom pods
1/2 (about 1.5 grams) whole nutmeg

Instructions:
Combine all the spices in a spice grinder or use a mortar and pestle to grind them into a fine powder. Store the ground baharat in an airtight container in a cool, dark place. Use within 6 months for the best flavor.
